PRP Family Newsletter

August 21, 2026

From the Principal’s Desk

What an incredible start to the school year we’ve had at Pea Ridge Primary. Our halls are once again filled with smiling faces, laughter, and excited learners. Seeing our students back in their classrooms, making new friends, learning new things, and settling into their routines has brought so much joy to our entire PRP team. We are so happy to have them back where they belong.

We want to make it easy for our families to stay connected and know what’s happening at PRP. Our newsletter will arrive in your inbox and on ParentSquare on the 3rd Friday of every month and will be your go-to spot for all things Pea Ridge Primary.

Each month, we’ll share student celebrations, classroom highlights, important reminders, upcoming dates, special events, and fun things happening around our school. We hope it gives you a quick peek into your child’s school day and helps you feel connected to our PRP family.

Thank you for partnering with us and for trusting us with your most important people. We are so excited for all the learning, growth, friendships, and memories this school year will bring.

Here’s to a wonderful year at PRP! We’re so glad you’re here!

School Shirts

Show off your PRP pride! Our school shirts are on sale through Wednesday, August 26 for $12 each and are available in both youth and adult sizes.

Order forms are available in the front office, or reach out to your child’s teacher and they can send a form home in their folder.

Car Rider Line: Tips & Tricks

A few quick reminders can help keep our car rider line safe and moving smoothly.
  • Have your car tag visible so we can quickly identify your student.
  • Stay in your vehicle while waiting in the car rider line.
  • Staff members do not buckle students. If your child needs help, please pull around and park in a designated space. Once you pull around, you can buckle your child before heading home.
  • Have students ready to go with belongings gathered so they can quickly and safely enter or exit the vehicle.
  • Follow staff directions and please do not pass other vehicles in the car rider line unless directed to do so.
  • Be patient and drive slowly. Your patience helps us keep dismissal safe and efficient for everyone.
Thank you for helping us make car rider arrival and dismissal a safe and smooth process.

Registration Help

Back to School Registration emails were sent on August 14. If you haven’t completed your student’s registration yet, please take a few minutes to do so. This helps us make sure we have the most accurate and up-to-date information for your child.

If you don’t see the email in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder.

Thank you for taking care of this and helping us start the school year with accurate information.

Counselor's Corner

During the monthly counselor lesson, students are meeting their counselor, learning how to use the classroom calm down corners, and learning about some coping skills! We know that it is okay to have big feelings, it is what we do with them that matters! We will practice utilizing calming strategies in common situations that happen at school. Overall, we will be practicing simple coping skills to help us calm our bodies, manage strong emotions, and get ready to learn! Students will also learn how to use their classroom calm corners as a place to pause, reset, and choose a strategy that helps them feel ready to rejoin the classroom!

Nurse Notes

Medication Reminder: Please do not send medications to school with your student. If your child needs medication during the school day, required forms must be completed before medication can be administered at school. Please contact the school office if you have questions.

Extra Clothes: Please send a backup set of clothes to keep at school in case of spills, accidents, or other unexpected messes. We recommend including a shirt, pants/shorts, underwear, and socks.
